BackgroundFailure to detect metastasis to para-aortic nodes in patients with locally advanced cervical cancer leads to suboptimal treatment. No previous studies have prospectively compared PET/CT with laparoscopic extraperitoneal staging in the evaluation of para-aortic lymph nodes.
