Cancer in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: lessons from animal models

Purpose of the reviewHuman colitis-associated cancers (CAC) represent a heterogeneous group of conditions in which multiple oncogenic pathways are involved. In this manuscript we reviewed the latest studies using genetic, chemically induced, bacterial and innate immunity induced experimental models of colitis-associated cancer.
