ObjectivePreeclampsia often results in altered hemodynamics and structurally remodeled umbilical arteries in the fetus – alterations that may be associated with arterial stiffening. We therefore hypothesized that the mechanical function of preeclamptic (PE) umbilical arteries had increased stiffness compared to control.
