摘要

ObjectiveCoronary artery disease (CAD) in the general population is characterized by an increased frequency of particular susceptibility single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). Since CAD is increased in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), we sought to determine whether the frequency of these SNPs are increased in RA patients with CAD, hypothesizing that RA could enhance CAD risk by acting through established genetic pathways predisposing to CAD.
