SummaryAn evaluation and consideration of health status of patient prior to any surgical treatment forms an essential part of comprehensive health care. Apparently well but in fact medically compromised patients usually present with unacceptable possibility of complications; whereas adequate pretreatment utilization of many techniques available to diagnose and treat underlying systemic disease significantly decreases morbidity and mortality associated with it.
