PurposeThis study was undertaken to determine the association between cardiac function and therapy with beta2-adrenoceptor agonists (β2-agonists), β-blockers, or β-blocker–β-agonist combination therapy in elderly male patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
