The integral layout of the existing ancient villa-ges of Ming and Qing dynasties saturated with Chinese traditional culture in the philosophy of “harmony between man and nature”. In terms of architectural sculpture, the villages revealed the aesthetic philosophy“best delicate”,“most spacious” everywhere. In terms of architectural color, they followed the aesthetic view of Taoist philosophy, simple, atmospheric and magnificent. Preciseness and spirituality blended, simple re-vealed in luxury, the ancient villages had a unique artistic beauty and high aesthetic value and cultural value. Ancient villages in southern Anhui and Southeast Shanxi are surviving ancient villages of Ming and Qing Dynas-ties within the China and have the unique aesthetic value and research value.
