With the use of atomatic energy, how to dispose radioactive wastes has become an important research subject unavoidablely. Among the countermeasures of disposing radioactive wastes,geological disposal is doubtless a safe and reliable method. Comparing with other methods, it keeps the wastes deep in the earth shell and far from human action areas. So it is stable in long term in essence.But earth quake often takes place in Japan whilethe treatment of highly radioactive and other hazardous wastes needs thousands of years or even more time. What would he the situation? This article explores the question.
