Meat processing wastewater is one of the biggest organic pollutions in China,which is characterizedby high concentration of organic matters,lots of impurities,SS and high grease. The sources,harmfulness and treatment tech-nologies currently used in meat processing wastewater treatment were reviewed. Biological treatment methods include an-aerobic biological treatment and aerobic biological treatment;new treatment technologies include improved anaerobic bio-logical treatment method,improved aerobic biological treatment method and anaerobic aerobic combination method.The mechanisms,research progress,advantages and disadvantages of the above mentioned treatment techniques were dis-cussed. Development trends of these techniques and methods were forecasted.%肉类加工废水是我国最大的有机污染源之一,该类废水具有有机物浓度高、杂质和悬浮物多、油脂浓度高等特点.对肉类加工废水的来源、危害及目前常用的处理技术进行了综述,包括生物处理方法中的厌氧生物处理法、好氧生物处理法;新出现的技术方法如改进型厌氧生物处理法、改进型好氧生物处理法、厌氧-好氧生物组合方法.对上述各方法的机理、研究进展、优缺点进行了评述,同时展望了处理肉类加工废水的技术和方法的发展趋势.
