The“米” shape structure, a basic structure of tetra-axial fabric composed of four sets of yarns, was studied.The number and form of the basic structures were discussed, and the basic structures were classified into two categories, stable structure and unstable structure, based on the stability of fabric structure.A theory that explains previous characterization was established, laying a foundation for subsequent research.%在平面四轴向机织物组织中，四组不同的纱线共同形成一个米字形基本结构。根据四组纱线的交织情况对平面四轴向机织物基本结构的形式和数量进行探讨，并根据基本结构的稳定程度将其分为稳定结构和不稳定结构两大类，为已经织造出来的平面四轴向机织物的结构提供了理论解释，并为后人的研究提供基础。
