The Application of Backward Design in ESL Teaching

Backward design is a method of designing educational curriculum by setting goals before choosing instructional methods and forms of assessments. Backward design challenges traditional methods of curriculum planning. This essay focuses on analyzing different aspects of backward design and points out how to apply it to ESL teaching.
