桑白盾蚧[Pseudaulacaspis pentagona（Targioni）]是桃树的一种重要害虫。该虫在广西南宁一年发生4代,以雌成虫越冬;2月下旬-3月初为第1代若虫孵化盛期,是化学防治最有利的时机。每雌平均产卵100粒左右,卵期6-10 d,雄蛹期（含前蛹）5-7 d,雌成虫寿命31-36 d,雄成虫寿命短,仅1-2 d。已知天敌有日本方头甲、细缘唇瓢虫、整胸寡节瓢虫、蚜小蜂、丽草蛉、捕食螨等,对该蚧虫起一定控制作用。%Pseudaulacaspis pentagona（Targioni） is a major pest against peach tree.The pest develops 4 generations a year in Nanning,Guangxi and overwinters by female adults.The peak of the first-instar nymph appears from late February to early March,which is the best time for chemical control.A female lays 100 eggs on average in its duration of 6 to 10 days and male pupal stage（including the prepupa） is 5 to 7 days.Life span of the female adult is 31 to 36 days,while the male adult is only 1 to 2 days.Cybocephalus nipponicus Endrody-Younga,Chilocorus circumdatus（Gyllenhal）,Telsimia emarginata Chapin,Aphelinidea,Chrysopa formosa Brauer,and predatory mites are important natural enemies of P.pentagona,and they play a certain role in controlling the scale pest.
