Denis Diderot is not only a forerunner of realism or romanticism theories in the theatre , but also an avant-courier of theories of body theatre .In Diderot's three research theses on theatre es-pecially “Paradoxe sur le Comédien” ( “The Paradox of Acting”), we can find heralds of many concepts of theatre reformation in the 20 th century .Diderot proposed that acting was a type of body techniques and he also discussed in these theses the unity and accuracy of performance , poor scener-y, physicality of language , power of words and movements , instantaneity and durability of reception , and so on .However , essentially Diderot had not gone beyond the era of dramatic literature .%狄德罗不仅是现实主义或浪漫主义戏剧理论的先驱,也是身体戏剧理论的先驱。20世纪戏剧革新的众多观念都可以在狄德罗的三篇戏剧论文,尤其是《关于演员的悖论》中觅得先声。狄德罗提出,表演是一种身体技术;此外,狄德罗还讨论了演出的统一性和准确性、简单而直接的布景、语言的身体性、话语和动作所具有的力量、戏剧感受的即时性和持久性等问题。但尽管如此,狄德罗依然未能超越戏剧文学的时代。
