The symptoms and physiological characteristics of Helianthus tuberosus L. With nitrogen deficiency in the seedling stage were studied. The results showed that, in the treated earlier stage, growth of Helianthus tuberosus L. Was slow down. 10 d after treatd, the symptoms of nutrient deficiency transferred from the lwer part to upper part. 40 d after treated, growth of Helianthus tuberosus L. Nearly stopped. The content of soluble proytein and Chlorophyll first rose and then dropped, but were higher than that of CK. The root activity first obviously rose, and then decreased rapidly. In the earlier nitrogen deficiency stage,the increase of the protein and root activity was related to the plant adaptability of nitrogen deficiency.%本文研究了菊芋苗期缺氮的主要症状及生理特性.结果表明:处理前期就表现出明显缺素症状,表现为生长减缓,处理10d以后缺素症状由下部向上部开始出现,处理40d后生长几乎停止；可溶性蛋白含量先上升后降低,叶绿素含量先升高后下降,均高于对照,根系活力开始有明显上升,之后迅速下降.蛋白、根系活力在缺氮初期含量的上升认为与植物缺氮适应性调节有关.
