From the ancient times, the Xijing historical trail has been an important channel of the Lingnan area and Central plain area, and an important connection of the Sea and Land Silk Road too. It has important impaction of the social economic and cultural connection development along it. Along the historical trail, there are different types of transportation facilities and buildings, such as post offices, mansions, post shops, courier station (pavilions),bridges and so on. Many pavilions are preserved in the Ruyuan area of Xijing road, even though these buildings are small, they do have the architectural features and architectural wisdom. which the paper discusses.%西京古道自古以来便是岭南与中原的重要通道,是路上丝绸和海上丝绸的重要环节,对促进沿途各地社会、经济和文化发展起到过重要的作用.沿古道有不同类型的交通设施和建筑,如驿站、公馆、邮铺、驿(凉)亭、桥梁等.在西京古道乳源段还保存不少凉亭,建筑虽小,但颇具建筑特色和建筑智慧,文章就此展开探讨.
