Taking the railway engineering as the background,through indoor test,the PaPer analyzes Physical and mechanical ProPerties of red clay along the railway line. Starting from asPects of gravel,lime,two ash and cement,it exPlores the red clay imProving methods,with a view to select oPtimal soil imProving scheme.%以某铁路工程为背景，通过室内试验，分析了铁路沿线红粘土的物理力学性能，从掺入砂砾、石灰、二灰、水泥四方面，探讨了红粘土的改良方式，旨在选出最佳的土体改良方案。
