The 3# Blast Furnace of Baosteel Branch maintains a high daily using coefficient of 2. 5 after 17 years' service. It is of most importance to maintain its longevity at such a high production capacity. The measures including valuable experience for long time serving were carried out and the longevity of 3# BF during the past years was reviewed.
