@@ IntroductionrnIn western countries,language teaching has been developed for more than twenty centuries.Before Renaissance,the classical Greek and Latin were used as lingua franca all over Europe,and taught in almost every school from listening,speaking at the early stage and reading,writing at the late stage so that the learners could not only master the grammatical rules,but also improve their communicative ability.From the period of Renaissance to the 18th century,the prestige of Latin had been reduced greatly because of political environment and linguistic development.Many European vernaculars had increased in utility as oral and written communication tools.But Latin was still a course taught on grammar and vocabulary in schools.
