Mark Twain's Inner Collision between Science and Religion——A reading of Twain's 'The Diary of Adam and Eve'

In"The Diary of Adam and Eve",Mark Twain shows the life of the first human couple partly according to the Biblical story.But his writing is not exactly the same with the original record of the Bible.This paper attempts to analyze the reasons that account for Twain’s treatment of the Bible story from the aspects of science and religion.
