Growth and Application of Chalcogenides of Lead and Related Compounds

Large grain, low-dislocation, high-quality single crystals of various Pb-salt compounds have been grownreproducibly by the Horizontal Unseeded Vapor Growth (HUVG) technique. The Tunable Diode Lasers withbetter performance have been made with such crystals. The annealing feature, dislocations and diffusion in thecrystals have also been investigated.
