Full automatic operation (FAO)is a pretty major leap for urban rail traffic system,it will lead the development tendency of urban rail traffic.The development situation of FAO are introduced.The author analyzes the differences be-tween FAO and traditional urban mass transit (UMT),and elaborates the train operation control system level of FAO.FAO is the product of scientific development,and suitable for small marshalling,high density,lower traffic-volume up to high traffic-volume demand of urban mass transit.%全自动驾驶系统是城市轨道交通系统集成技术的一次飞跃，它将引导现代城市轨道交通的发展趋势。本文介绍了全自动驾驶系统的现状，分析了无人驾驶系统与传统的城市轨道交通系统的差异，阐述全自动驾驶系统的列车运行控制系统的等级。全自动驾驶系统是科学发展的产物，适用于小编组、高密度、中小运量直至大运量的城市轨道交通系统。
