The background for the deficit of solar neutrinos, including the standard solar models, the nuclear fusions in solar interior, the theoretical estimations for the energy spectrum and flux of solar neutrinos, as well as the solar neutrino experiments and their results, are introduced in the first two sections of the paper. Then various non-standard solar models proposed to explain the deficit of solar neutrinos are described.
