Using the elderly basic condition and the community service demands survey data from the Beijing Xicheng district conducted by Institute of Gerontology at Renmin University of China in 2013 , we classified the potential influencing factors on elder ’ s preference for old-age support into four categories: elder ’ s own characters, health conditions, family situation and community environment. We define general old-age support which include family care, institution care and family along with community care. Using Multinomial-Logistic Regression, we examine and compare the importance of each factor. The conclusion shows that senior citizens of downtown area in Beijing are more active in such selection but is still traditional in general. The reason for them to choose non-family support pension mode has more correlation with psychological feeling rather than the objective physical limit. The variable which affects the support pattern preference significantly is children’ s filial piety rather than the number of children and whether their spouses are alive. In addition, the influence of community service on preference for patterns of old-age support is relatively weak, and need to be further strengthened.%本文利用2013年中国人民大学老年学研究所组织的北京市西城区老年人基本情况和服务需求研究调查数据，将可能影响养老方式选择的各个因素分为自身特质、健康状况、家庭环境、社区环境四类，针对家庭养老、机构养老、居家养老三种方式进行多分类Logistic回归，以此来比较各类因素对不同养老方式的影响。结论表明，北京市中心市区老年人在养老方式选择上主动性更强，选择非家庭养老多是注重心理感受而非客观身体条件，配偶健在与否和子女数量的影响较为微弱，子女孝顺与否的影响十分显著，总体而言依然较为传统。此外，养老服务供给对人们养老方式的选择影响还较为微弱，需要进一步加强。
