Characteristic town is the carrier and platform of industrial development, and it is significant to industrial transitionand upgrade in new urbanization. The paper analyzes the core value of characteristic town and discusses industrial ecosphereestablishment oriented characteristic town planning content and strategies, and practices the method in the planning of Baipu town,Rugao city, Jiangsu province.
