Close Reading and Translation of Li Bai’s Poem——A Case Study of Comparative Translation

摘要

A close reading emphasizes the single and the particular over the general,effected by close attention to individual words,the syntax,the order in which the sentences unfold ideas and formal structures.As an analytical technique,close reading compares translation and lies in its capacity for taking seriously what does not immediately make sense.Nowadays,close reading has been ad?opted by higher education among the world.This paper takes one of Li Bai’s famous poem as an example,to push more close read?ing instruction in higher education.
