A Functional Comparison Between English Even and Chinese ShenZhi(甚至)

摘要

Adverbial conjunctions are still the new field to explore.This paper,based on the corpora,focuses on making a syntactic and pragmatic functional comparison between adverbial conjunctions even and shenzhi(甚至).Both their simi-larities and differences are discussed.The paper finds that both of them have three connecting functions and three prag-matic functions.It aims to give the enlightments for language learning and study.
