Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis (SWH) is a great contribution to the study of the relationship between language and thought. This paper, with a dialectic view, aims to do some analyses to the SWH and arouse the readers the implications of the hypothesis on the second language learning. The analysis is based on explanations with examples. The final finding is that although it is sub⁃ject to fierce controversy and scorn, SWH and our language leanings are inter-effected, and the cultural diversities behind it should be respected.
