Objective To observe the effects of two different lengths of inserted catheters on the residual urine volume of neonatal girls with urinary retention after catheter removal so as to explore the optimal lengths of inserted catheter in neonatal girls. Methods From March 2007 to October 2009,38 neonatal girls with urinary retention in the Neonatal Department were equally randomized into experimental group and control group. The neonatal girls in the two groups were inserted catheters with two different lengths.Then the residual urine volume of the two groups were observed. Results Of the experimental group,3(15.0%) neonatal girls were observed with the residual urine volume≥20 ml and 17(85.0%) with the residual urine volume<20 ml. Of the control group,8(44.4 % ) neonatal girls were observed with the residual urine volume ≥20 ml and 10(55.6%) with the residual urine volume<20 ml. Significant differences were observed on the residual urine volume between the two groups ( P <0. 05). Conclusion For Neonatal girls,the catheter can be inserted into urethra by 1. 5cm and then inserted further 0.5 cm after observing the urine,which effectively ensures a unobstructed and complete urine drainage.%目的 观察新生儿女婴尿潴留导尿时,两种不同导尿管插入长度对其拔除导尿管后膀胱残余尿量的影响,探讨新生儿女婴导尿时最适宜的导尿管插入长度.方法 按随机数字表法将2007年3月至2009年10月儿科住院出现尿潴留需导尿的38例新生儿女婴分为实验组(20例)和对照组(18例),分别对两组新生儿女婴采用插入不同长度的导尿管进行导尿,观察两组新生儿女婴拔除尿管后的膀胱残余尿量.结果 实验组新生儿女婴拔除尿管后膀胱残余尿量≥20 ml者3例,占 15.0%,<20 ml者17例,占85.0%;对照组新生儿女婴膀胱残余尿量≥20 ml者8例,占44.4%,<20 ml者10例,占55.6%,两组新生儿女婴拔出导尿管后的膀胱残余尿量经比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05).结论 新生儿女婴导尿插入尿管时,导尿管先插入尿道1.5 cm,见尿后导尿管再进0.5 cm,此方法能够有效保证导尿管引流尿液通畅,尿液引流彻底、干净.
