With the increasing of complexity of rotating machine structures, failure probability of the machines also increases. So, high requirement for fault detection technique is necessary. The vibration monitoring technique is a main method of fault diagnosis. It can detect the character and position of the fault by analyzing the vibration signals of mechanical equipments. In this article, the principle of vibration monitoring technique and the typical vibration faults are introduced. The application of the vibration monitoring technique in fault diagnosis for rotating machinery is illustrated with an example.%随着旋转设备结构复杂程度的提高,其故障发生的几率也随之增加,对故障检测技术要求更高。通过对机械设备振动信号的分析判断故障特征及部位,是旋转机械故障诊断主要手段。文章首先对振动监测技术的原理及典型振动故障的表现形式进行介绍,并利用振动监测技术,举例说明振动监测技术在旋转机械故障诊断中的应用。
