Under the guidance of the new English Curriculum and the compiling system of reading content in current English textbooks of primary schools in China, the purpose of the thesis is to cultivate pupils’ English reading abilities based on the correct understanding of word recognition, reading-aloud and silent reading, as well as the correct handling of the relationships among the three.%根据《义务教育英语课程标准》及小学英语教材阅读内容的编排体系,从正确理解认读、朗读和阅读的内涵及正确处理三者之间的关系来浅谈小学英语阅读能力的培养。
