纽约现代艺术博物馆见证了20世纪以来世界艺术的变革与发展,也推动了诸多文化进步的新思潮.而博物馆的数次改扩建设计可以视为现代建筑设计理念在20世纪探索与前进历程的缩影.通过图解博物馆改扩建中建筑边界变化带来的空间观看方式的改变,揭示这一历史建筑生长过程中回应不同时代多样需求的空间策略,其中涉及的社会文化思潮也诠释了不同背景的建筑师对于协调城市、建筑与人群的态度差异.%The Museum of Modern Art in the New York City is a witness of the evolution and revolution process of global art movements in the 20th century. Its exhibitions inspired many new ideas of the development of social culture. Furthermore, the extension of the museum building can be regarded as a reflection of the evolution of modernism architectural thinking during the past several decades. This paper illustrates the extension of the building boundary which resulted in the changes in the ways of seeing. It intends to demonstrate strategies which were used to generate modern space in this historical building in term of various needs of the times. Additionally, the social and cultural climates also explained the attitudes of architects from different backgrounds towards the coordination of city, building and people.
