Objective To explore the effect of irrigation on bladder and urethral on the prevention of urinary tract infection in male patients with urinary catheter indwelling. Methods In October 2008 to July 2011, the male traumatic paraplegia patients undergoing catheterization were randomly divided into three groups. The experimental group (n = 60) was treated with irrigation on bladder and urethral, control group 1 (n = 45) with bladder douche and control group 2 with conventional urinary catheter care but no bladder douche. For all the three groups, bacteria cultivation and urinary examination were conducted to the urines sampled at days 1, 4, 7, 10 and 14 d after catheterization. Result According to the results of urine bacteria cultivation in days 7, 10, 14 d after catheterization, the positive rate of the experimental group was significantly lower than those of the control groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion The male paraplegia patients undergoing urinary catheterization can be effectively managed with combined irrigation on bladder and urethral, which can lower the incidence of urinary tract infections and improve the treatment and nursing quality.%目的 探讨膀胱尿道联合冲洗在预防男性留置尿管患者尿路感染中的应用效果.方法 选择2008年10月～2011年7月本院收治的外伤致截瘫需留置尿管的男性患者,随机分为3组,实验组60例采用膀胱尿道联合冲洗,对照1组45例进行常规膀胱冲洗,对照2组45例给予常规尿管护理,不进行膀胱冲洗.3组患者分别在留置尿管的第1、4、7、10、14 d进行尿液细菌培养及高倍镜检查,比较尿液细菌培养阳性率的差异.结果 留置尿管后第7、10、14 d,实验组尿液细菌培养阳性率明显低于对照1组和对照2组(均P＜0.05).结论 对于高位截瘫需要留置尿管的男性患者,采用膀胱尿道联合冲洗能有效降低尿道感染的发生率,提高患者的治疗和护理质量,值得临床推广应用.
