Objective:To illuminate host selection difference and oviposition choice behavior of Xylotrechus grayii White and provide theoretical basis for management.Methods:Selection difference of X.grayii on Lonicera japonica,Paulow-nia and Ulmus were studied at different stages,including location and ovipositon of adults,feeding of larva and eclosion of pu-pa. Results:Regardless of copulation,both sex adults showed no significant tendency for host.The number of the adult selec-ting non-host was significantly higher than that of the adult selecting host,and no significant difference were found between three hosts.The number of the eggs laid by females was significantly more on L.japonica than Paulownia,and no eggs occur on Ulmus.The females without biting nidi preferred to oviposit in crevices.No difference were observed between L.japonica and Paulownia for the eggs hatching,larva feeding and eclosion.Conclusion:Oviposition recognition is the critical period forming the host selection difference of X.grayii.The crevies on host surface is key feature for the females to recognize oviposition site.%目的:明确咖啡脊虎天牛对寄主的选择差异和产卵选择行为,为防治提供理论依据.方法:研究咖啡脊虎天牛在成虫定向及产卵、幼虫取食和蛹羽化阶段对金银花、泡桐和榆树的选择差异.结果:咖啡脊虎天牛成虫交尾前后无明显的寄主选择趋向,对非寄主的选择数量显著多于寄主的选择数量,其对金银花、泡桐和榆树三种寄主无显著选择差异;成虫在金银花上的产卵量显著多于泡桐,在榆树上不产卵.雌性成虫无产卵刻槽行为,卵产于缝隙内.其卵的孵化、幼虫取食和蛹的羽化在金银花和泡桐之间无显著差异.结论:形成咖啡脊虎天牛寄主选择差异的关键时期是成虫产卵识别阶段,寄主枝干表面的缝隙结构是雌性成虫确定产卵位置的重要因素.
