The progress of globalization has inevitably and irrevocably been bringing about a series of ramifications,positive and negative,one of which is the frequent outbreak and rampant spread of pandemics across the planet.This paper,placing the issue in the globalized context,aims to enhance our understanding of the nature of pandemic.Through a comparative study of the globalization course and the major pandemics in human history as well as a close study on SARS,it explores and delineates the complicated interconnectedness between globalization and pandemics.
