In order to analyze the issue whether the polarization detection is beneficial to improve the detection of in-frared system,noise equivalent polarization degree of polarization infrared detection system is deduced according to the investigation of polarization degree and noise,and then the relation between polarization degree signal noise ratio and intensity signal noise ratio is analyzed.Comparing with traditional infrared detection distance model,the distance mod-el of polarization detection based on polarization degree signal noise ratio is built.At last,the operating range of two systems is analyzed and compared to obtain the basic conditions that the polarization detection is better than the inten-sity detection.%为了分析偏振探测是否有利于提升红外系统目标探测距离的问题,本文以偏振度和噪声的分析为基础,推导了红外偏振探测系统的噪声等效偏振度,进而研究了系统偏振度信噪比与强度信噪比的关系,并结合传统红外强度探测的作用距离模型建立了基于偏振度信噪比的红外偏振探测作用距离模型。根据分析过程,对偏振探测和强度探测的作用距离进行了比较分析,得出了偏振探测优于强度探测的基本条件。
