《伊斯坦布尔——一座城市的记忆》是奥尔罕·帕慕克的代表作。论文从书中的“我”、另一个“我”、伊斯坦布尔三个主角出发探索其作为小说、自传以及散文的可能，并从中考察了作者利用不同的文体表述了三个不同的主题并最终将三者融合为“呼愁”这种文化意识的形成过程。%＂Istanbul： Memories and the City＂ is Orhan Pamuk＇ s masterpiece.
