中国居民对外籍人士的社会评价、社会交往与社会距离——基于义乌市的实证研究

文章通过对中外居民社会距离的实证研究发现:首先,不同的社会评价对社会距离产生不同的影响.负面的社会评价会扩大中国居民与外籍人士的社会距离,正面的社会评价则有助于缩短两者的社会距离.其次,社会评价调节了社会交往对社会距离的影响作用.具体表现为,如果中国居民对某个外国群体持有负面评价,那么即使增加他们的交往仍然不能缩短中外居民之间的社会距离;反之,如果中国居民对外籍人士群体持有正面评价,那么增加他们社会交往的频率则可以显著地缩短他们之间的社会距离.%Based on an empirical study on the social distance between Chinese and foreign residents, this paper shows that first of all, different social evaluations have different influences on social distance: negative social evaluation will increase the social distance between Chinese and foreign residents, and positive social evaluation will help to reduce the social distance between the two.Secondly, social evaluation regulates the influence of social interaction on social distance.Specifically, if the Chinese residents have a negative evaluation of a foreign group, even if their interactions increase, their social distance can not be reduced.On the contrary, if the Chinese residents have a positive evaluation of a foreign group, then increasing the frequency of their social interactions can significantly reduce the social distance between them.
