%The Daishōgun Hachi Shrine in Kyoto is closely related to ancient Chinese popular religion .“Great General” ( Daishōgu or Da Jiangjun ) , worshiped in this shrine , is regarded as an onmyōdō’s ( the Way of Yin and Yang in Japan ) deity which originated from China , though it had been localized completely . The historical changes of Daishōgu belief actually mirror the trace of the changes of onmyōdōand display the close affinities between Chinese and Japanese Culture .
