The concept of the people is abundant,and it is also a concept with different connotations along with the changes of the times and field. To adhere to the people centered,first of all,we must fully understand the scientific connotation of the people. It can be said that the understanding of the people is the logical starting point of insisting on the development of the people centered. Combining the comprehensive analysis of the history of the people's concept with the nature of the socialist society,this paper holds that there are three levels of understanding of the people: the whole people,people group and the individual. Only by combining and unifying the people of the three levels can we understand the true meaning of the people in the socialist society.%人民是一个内涵十分丰富的概念,也是一个随着时代和场域的变化而有不同内涵的概念.坚持以人民为中心,首先必须充分理解人民的科学内涵.可以说,理解人民是坚持以人民为中心发展方略的逻辑起点.本文通过全面考察人民的概念史特别结合社会主义社会性质的分析,认为理解人民有三个层次:整体的人民、群体的人民、个体的人民.只有将三个层次的人民结合起来和统一起来,才称得上理解了社会主义社会中人民的真谛.
