学界在研究《新青年》杂志时，屡屡涉及《青年杂志》更名为《新青年》的原因问题。然而近30年来，关于写信给群益书社者、写信者所办刊物、《上海青年》与《青年杂志》之名是否雷同等问题，已出现了各种说法。厘清基督教青年会与上海青年会之别，分清它们各自所办刊物的名称、性质及特点，可以辨析这些言说在何种意义上属实，又存在何种偏差。基督教青年协会所办的《青年》杂志，是促成陈子寿、陈独秀下定决心将《青年杂志》更名为《新青年》的重要原因之一。%When many scholars research the New Youth, they often pay attention to the reasons of the Youth Magazine changing its name. However,for nearly 30 years, there are many claims about who wrote the letter to QUN YI Publishing house, which magazine the writers set up, whether the Shanghai Youth and Youth Magazine have differences,and so on. The paper clarifies the YMCA and Shanghai YMCA, dis-tinguishes their respective service name, nature and characteristics of journals, so as to differentiate the narrations in what sense are correct, in what sense are deviation. Finally ,the paper points out that the important reason of the Youth Magazine changing its name is the Youth Magazine which was set up by YMCA.
