口语有其区别于笔语的各类语言特征。通过Biber(1998)多特征多维度分析框架中的第一个维度可以研究某一群体语言其口语性或是笔语性的归属。运用这一框架,发现总体上中国大学生的英语口语其口语化的程度较本族语者存在一定的距离,其口语中存在较为明显的笔语化特征,反映了学习者对不同场合下使用口语和笔语语域意识较为薄弱。然而,语言水平较高的学习者其口语化程度也较高,与本族语者的口语性较为接近。%Spoken language has the features distinguishable from its written counterpart. The first dimension of Multi-feature Multi-dimension analysis proposed by Biber ( 1988 ) can be employed to investigate the position of a sub-language on the continuum between spoken and written languages. With this framework, the present study finds that on the whole the oral output by Chinese college EFL learners is less characterized by a high degree of oralness compared with that by native speakers, and that there are distinctive features of written language in EFL learners' utterances, which indicates their weak register awareness for eontextualized language use. However, learners of advanced language proficiency, somewhat similar to native speak- ers, utter spoken English with comparatively high degree of oralness.
