AIM:To analyze the effect of traditional Chinese medicine on treating hyperthyroidism by 131 I according to syn-drome differentiation theory,and thus to improve the clinical effi-ciency as well as the quality of patients'life.METHODS:A to-tal of 128 cases with hyperthyroidism admitted to department of endocrinology from February 201 1 to April 2014 were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 64 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated by 131 I ther-apy,while patients in observation group were treated by herb ther-apy besides 131 I therapy under the guidance of TCM theory.Clini-cal effect and improvement in symptoms were observed. RE-SULTS:The efficacy rate of observation group was 96.9%, which was significantly higher than 82.8% of control group.The difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION:To treat patients with hyperthyroidism with traditional Chinese therapy guided by syndrome differentiation theory besides 131 I therapy can significantly improve the clinical efficacy and the quality of patients'life.%目的：分析131 I治疗甲亢早期的中医辩证施治情况，以提高治疗有效率，改善患者生活质量．方法：将我院内分泌科2011-02／2014-04收治的128例甲亢患者随机分为观察组和对照组，每组各64例，对照组患者实施131 I 治疗，观察组患者实施131 I治疗的同时，在中医理论的指导下口服中药治疗，观察两组患者的临床治疗效果及症状改善情况．结果：观察组患者临床治疗有效率（96．9％）明显高于对照组（82．8％），具有统计学意义．结论：对实施131 I治疗的甲亢患者进一步实施中医辩证治疗，可有效提高患者的临床有效率，改善临床症状及患者的生活质量．
