“EAT/吃＋NP”表达的语义拓扑假设

摘要

＂EAT/吃 ＂ occupies a pertinent position in a corresponding semantic field and hence has its own extension.Its intension can be explicated by dint of a semantic topo of which the core part is universal,while the peripheral part is language-specific.Pampered by the culture,＂ 吃 ＋NP＂ construction displays a plethora of uses.As semantic case analyses and metonymy theories cannot explain the phenomenon satisfactorily,a pragmatic theory is proposed in this paper to account for the huge variety of ＂ 吃 ＂ uses from a new perspective.%动词＂EAT/吃＂在相应的语义场内占有一席价值之地而形成词义的外延,其内涵是一个语义拓扑,核心部分具有跨语言的相似性,边缘部分具有跨语言的相异性,相异性导致英汉语＂EAT/吃＋NP＂表达的使用差异。用语义格、转喻等理论解释汉语特有的＂吃＋NP＂现象具有很大的局限性,而使用单向推导模型至少可以帮助我们认识到种种＂吃＂表达的认知固化过程,从而赋予＂吃＋NP＂表达一种全新的解释方案。
