STUDIES ON THE STRUCTURAL CHANGES OF FIBROIN FILMS AND THE CONDITIONS OF THEIR FORMATION

摘要

The relations between the changes of structure and crystallinity of fibroin films andthe conditions of their preparation and treatment have been studied by X- ray diffractome-try.Films derived from slow drying have higher crystallinity.The changes in structure byhaving the films containing amorphous fibroin or Silk I moistened- dried or steamed withsaturated vapor and crystallinity were further studied.This paper also deals with thechanges in the drying of fibroin gel.
