Nowadays,people's requirements of design keep increasing. Besides functions,users'needs are still a-bout emotions and experience. It means enhancing user experience through design becomes necessary. Small spaces are a commonplace in cities with high population density. Because of its limitation,it is difficult for a designer to give consideration to both function and user experience. Prototyping,a kind of design tool usually used in new product development and interactive design,is helpful in meeting people's needs on both function and experience. This paper analyses the feasibility of applying prototyping in small space design to enhance us-er experience through researching prototyping and existing projects.%现在，人们对设计的要求越来越高。除了基本的功能需求以外，用户在情感、体验方面也有更多的需求，因此设计提升用户体验成为了趋势。由于人口密度增大，小型空间已普遍存在于城市的角落。因为空间的局限性，设计师很难兼顾用户日趋复杂的功能及体验需求。原型设计是一种在产品开发和交互设计领域常用的方法，对把握用户在功能及体验两方面的需求有很大帮助。文章通过对现有设计项目的分析，对原型设计的探讨，探寻将原型设计运用到小型空间设计中，以满足用户需求，提升用户体验的可行性。
