威廉·戈尔丁小说《蝇王》的文体学解读

摘要

《蝇王》是当代英国作家威廉·戈尔丁的成名作和代表作。小说情节简单,但内涵丰富。这与小说所传达的深刻的人性＂恶＂道德主题密不可分。运用英国著名文体学家利奇和肖特《小说文体论》中的相关理论,从视角变换﹑句尾焦点和篇章线性等文体特征出发,探讨《蝇王》传达并深化小说主题的方法。%Lord of the Flies is acknowledged as Willaim Golding’s representative work.Simple as it is,this novel has rich connotations,which is closely related to the moral theme of human evilness.This paper,in accordance with Style in Fiction by Geoffrey N.Leech and Michael H.Short,interprets Lord of the Flies.Great emphases are laid on such prominent stylistic features as shifts of points of view,the principle of end-focus and the linearity of the text,more important,on the ways of such stylistic features to convey the salient theme of this novel — the darkness of human nature.
