'唐卡'语源及含义考释

摘要

唐卡是藏族独具特色的绘画形式,然而,学术界关于"唐卡"的语源及含义一直存在争议.本文从藏语口头语言及书面意对其进行考释,认为"唐卡"是藏语词汇,并非借自其他语言,而且藏语中的"唐"具有平坦、神圣、皮革等意思.%Thangka is a special form of Tibetan painting, but the origin of the word "Thangka" still remains unsolved.This article analyzed the verbal and literary vocabulary in Tibetan language which are related to "Thang", as a conclusion, the writer thinks "Thangka" originates from Tibetan language and the word "Thang" includes the meaning of "flat""sacred" and "leather".
