Objective: To evaluate the application of a homemade tooth extraction device in extraction of multi-rooted teeth. Methods: Homemade separation root device consists of a four-grooves structure in components of tooth edge , a long pole of 12 cm, a transverse handle and a convex hammer and chisel base at the top. 200 multi-rooted teeth were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group 1(n=100), teeth were extracted using homemade new instrument. Group 2(n=100), teeth were extracted using conventional devices. Extraction procedure and postoperative outcomes were recorded and compared. Results: There were significant difference in operative duration and postoperative complications between two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: The homemade root separation device is safe in operation, less injury of tissue , little sufferings of patients and other advantages.%目的:总结自行设计制作一分根器的临床应用效果。方法:选取200例需要拔除的复杂多根牙随机分为2组,研究组采用自制刃部四凹槽结构的分根器分根后拔除患牙,对照组采用传统的劈凿法拔除患牙。记录手术时间、患者的损伤情况和术后病人反应。结果:观察组手术时间和术后并发症均明显少于对照组(P<0.05),自制分根器在分根、挺根的使用效果良好。结论:自制分根器用于分根拔牙中具有安全、组织损伤小、病人痛苦小等优点。
