在远古时代，通过海洋捕捞而得的海生动物是原始先民最主要的生活资料，因生产和生活中对海洋的依赖、恐惧和羡慕而心生崇拜。在龙王、妈祖占据海神信仰主流之后，海生动物崇拜因世俗王权观念的投射、渔业丰收的期许、渔业捕捞经验的传授等在沿海渔民的信仰中占有重要地位。在渔业生产水平不断提高和海洋社会不断进步的当代，海生动物崇拜的神秘色彩逐渐退去而演变成对吉祥生活的追求和对万物的关爱与善待，这也与我国传统文化中“天人合一”的自然观一脉相承。作为海洋文明核心层的重要内容，海生动物崇拜的现代价值的转换既可以是海洋生态文明建设的重要精神动力，也可以依托民俗旅游等文化产业形态创造丰富的经济价值。%In ancient times ,marine animals hunted by fishing ,were the most important means of live‐lihood for primitive ancestors .Due to the dependence ,fear and admiration of the ocean in production and daily life ,the marine animal worship appeared and spread .After the Dragon King and Mazu belief domina‐ted sea‐god worship ,marine animal worship has been playing an important role in the coastal fishermen's belief because of the projection of the concept of secular royalty ,the expectation for fishery harvest ,and the passing on of fishing experience .In the modern society w here fishery production has continued to im‐prove and marine society has continued to advance ,the mysterious color of marine animal worship has fa‐ded and evolved into a pursuit for happy life and caring for all living things ,which coincides with the theo‐ry that man is an integral part of nature in Chinese traditional culture .As an important part of the marine civilization core ,the conversion of modern value of marine animal worship can be both an important spirit‐ual force for marine ecological civilization construction ,and a resource of rich economic value w hich can be created by relying on folk tourism and other forms of cultural industries .
