Monthly maximum Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) of grassland in Hutobi River Basin in growing season from 1981 to 2001 was extracted using six well-replicated standardized chronologies. Results show that the maximum NDVI in the current growing season has a good correlation with tree-ring index, and the maximum NDVI in late-summer and early-fall have a much stronger correlation with tree-ring index. The maximum NDVI of grassland in September from 1662-2001 was reconstructed by multiple regression analysis of the maximum NDVI in September and tree-ring standardized chronologies having a good correlation with the maximum NDVI . The correlation coefficient of the reconstruction equation is 0.86, and the reconstructed value of the explained variance to the measured values is 73.0% , reaching a significant level of 0.000 012. It indicates that the remote sensing data of NDVI from 1981 -2001 and the reconstructed value has a good correlation.%利用天山北坡中部呼图壁河流域6个标准化年表,结合NOAA/AVHRR- NDVI资料提取研究区1981-2001年生长季草地各月最大INDV(归一化植被指数)值.结果表明:当年生长季草地最大INDv与树木年轮指数有较好的相关关系,夏末、秋初草地月最大INDV与树轮指数的相关性较好.将呼图壁河流域草地9月最大INDV与相关较好的3个标准化年表序列进行多元回归分析,重建了研究区1662-2001年9月草地最大INDV值,重建方程的相关系数达到0.86,重建值对实测值的方差解释量分别为73.0%,达到0.000012的显著性水平,重建结果是可靠的.
